This site is a place where I intend to share as much as I can with the world.I will eventually scan in some of my art work and fine art photography. The main intention however is to load this page up with pictures from my missions into the forgotten areas of Detroit including vacant lots, abandoned neighborhoods, open air art installations, vacant factories, industrial zones, chop shops, and old railroad lines etc...I'm not shure if you will be able to classify this page under Urban Exploration once I finish adding in all my art, but that was my original plan
Detroit means alot to me. I guess there is this sentimental connection inside of me. Maybee its from all the times I went to raves held in abandoned buildings and took so many different drugs that I wouldnt know my name by the time 4a.m. rolled around. Im not shure why I have this fascination with the decay and blight that Detroit has to offer. I guess it is that i see beauty in it all. I see it as a privilage to be able to see all of this and to be able to capture it on film so I can return anytime i want. When I'm alone in areas where most people wouldnt be caught dead I feel at peace. Any place devoid of people and life is where I feel most at home. I have never felt unsafe in Detroit. I have recently started going into these abandoned places alone. In a way I like it better that way, but at the same time I wish that I could have that experience with another person. (damn i sound like a loser) ANYWAYS.......
That is another reason for this site. I want to share. Plus it's something to do when theres nothing happening. BLAHH
Sorry for the randomness I'm trying to fit this in, between my homework and my long days at school. Yeah anyways....
This is my second web page. Its a really shitty one right now, but in time there will be alot more content, and it will be more pleasing to the eye. As of now there are only two photo galleries. (The Heidelberg Project, and a very small Packard Plant Section) I currently have seven rolls of film from my last trip to Michigan Central Station waiting to be developed. As soon as I get around to that I will scan them in and get them posted. There are also many rolls from other missions into the ghetto. I dont know what they are but when I get them up you'll see.
Recently i have been trying to get away from the ghetto for my missions. I just want to see what else there is. I went to Ardmore right before it was demolished, but i wasnt able to get any photos. I really would like to do another asylum in the near future. ummmm....end.
Hmmmmm....i dont want to write anymore. lets see....
Future missions include:
the Utica Packing Plant
The Fisher Body Plant
Another trip to the Packard Plant (the other side of the structure)
and the rest of my missions are pipe dreams but if i get the chance I will do my best to infiltrate undetected, untill then I'm not going to bother listing them. Again sorry for the slop....if there are spelling errors, you can e-mail me with corrections. That is if it bugs you enough todo so.
